February, 2021

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is open to all students around the world. NPSI has participated in this exciting competition and we are now at the end-stage. NPSI #8235 and we called the team "Beyond the Flames". Our students are challenged to raise funds, design a team brand, hone teamwork skills, build and programme industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. The team consists of 23 members across grades 9 through 11. 😀The 2020/21 season consists of 3 segments, the main one being, “Infinite Recharge @ Home”. They have made a robot that performs a multitude of tasks including but not limited to the collection of “power cells” through the intake system and lifting the entire robot on an elevated bar through the telescopic lift mechanism. FRC also deeply encourages teams to involve themselves in community outreach and fundraising. Our students have deeply enjoyed ourselves in these streams too. Overall FRC has been a very holistic and informative experience for everyone involved.

We feel empowered, inspired and hopeful!
